The Team

StablesOnline is proud to have a fantastic team of engineering, commercial and support staff who are all committed to providing our clients with a first class product and service.

 

Jim Sibcy – Managing Director & Founder

Jim Sibcy founded Plus Retail Ltd in 2007, successfully leading and growing the business for nearly 20 years into the premier multi-division equestrian manufacturing group it is today. Prior to establishing the company in Devon, Jim spent 8 years in London serving in commercial and managing director roles within the TV Production and Satellite TV Channel sector.

Jim remains incredibly hands-on with the Stables Online division, personally leading stable projects from the initial sales consultation through to custom manufacture and final installation for our loyal and growing customer base. 

 
 

Mark Tanner – Engineering and Design Director

Mark is in charge of ensuring that all Stables Online products are designed and manufactured to the highest structural and safety standards. He brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in designing and fabricating equestrian stables.

Mark is also a fully qualified blacksmith with specialised expertise in both structural and ornamental steel and iron work. When Mark isn’t building stables, you’ll find him in the sea when time permits; he is a keen surfer and lives locally in Northam with his wife, Sinead and two young girls.

 
 

Jamie Tanner – Fabrication Engineer

Jamie joined Stables Online in 2013 as an experienced welder and fabricator. He is responsible for crafting stables across all of our production lines, with a particular specialisation in our Premium Range. Jamie is a keen surfer and Gig Rower and lives in Torrington.

 
 

Mel Illman – Customer Service and Operations Manager

Mel is responsible for day-to-day customer service and operations within all the Plus Retail divisions. Her wide-ranging role covers sales, dispatch, manufacturing logistics, HR, purchasing, Health & Safety and general office management, keeping our busy headquarters running smoothly.

 
 

Shouna Sibcy – H.R. and Purchasing Director

Shouna is a joint shareholder, company secretary, and oversees H.R. and Purchasing for the company. She has a deep, lifelong passion for horses and actively enjoys eventing her main horse, Rio. Shouna also runs a small livery yard locally at Bude Farm Equestrian.

 
 

Harry Sibcy – Head of Legacy Planning

Harry has made a real impact since joining Plus Retail Ltd in 2011. He excels at keeping the Managing Director on his toes and has already mapped out the long-term transition of control for the next generation. Harry manages Bude Farm with skill beyond his years and like his Dad is a keen cricketer, playing at County level standard.

 
 

Oliver Sibcy – Head of Tiny Transport and Logistics

Oliver joined us in 2013 and can regularly be seen friendly-feuding for control with the Head of Legacy Planning. His lifelong obsession with tractors, diggers, and lorries makes him the perfect honorary choice for overseeing our transport logistics.

 
 

Steve Sims – Web & SEO Consultant

Steve joined the team in November 2016 to optimize and manage our digital portfolio. He is an experienced small business website designer based locally in North Devon.
