Boarding Options
Stablesonline offers a number of boarding options for all our internal stables as shown below. We have created a number of unique boarding options to give customers a real choice of quality and finish to suit all budgets.
Plywood - Economy Range
The plywood option is the cheapest of our stable ranges, but is perfectly adequate for those on a budget or those requiring a temporary solution for their internal stabling. The boarding is 18mm thick.
The frames are constructed in the same way, but instead of channel to hold the tongue and groove boarding, uprights with counter sunk holes are welded into the frame to attach the ply boarding to.
The plywood boards can easily be replaced once they reach the end of their serviceable life. The boards can be painted or oiled to give a longer life expectancy.

EcoSheet - Economy Range with a difference!
The EcoSheet option is slightly more expensive than the plywood, but offers a maintenance free alternative at a great price.
EcoSheet engineered panels are made from 100% recycled plastics. The natural characteristics of polymer are utilised to manufacture hard-wearing, smooth-faced, versatile boards. Ecosheet is engineered to perform as an alternative to plywood, or to virgin plastic panels, yet in turn are fully recyclable at end-of-life. The boards are 18mm thick.
EcoSheet only comes in the speckled grey colour shown. The metal frames are constructed in the same way as the plywood range.
StablesOnline are the first company to use this innovative board in stables.
.
Softwood Tongue and Groove - Mid Range
The softwood option is still very cost effective, but looks far superior to the plywood range.
The boards are 32mm thick and 140mm wide. They are pressure treated (tanalised) to give the longest possible life.
Full frames are constructed and then a separate metal channel is welded in to the frames to hold the boarding. The boards slide in from one end and the last board is held in place by 4 retaining screws.
The softwood boards can easily be replaced once they reach the end of their serviceabe life. As with any wood product they will need maintenance and may shrink or crack over time.
.
Recycled Plastic Tongue and Groove - Superior Range
We believe the recycled plastic is the most practical of all the ranges we offer. It is more expensive than the softwood and bamboo options, but gives a completely maintenance free solution.
The boards are 32mm thick and 135mm wide. They come in a choice of black or brown, but other colours are available on request. The black board version is slightly cheaper than teh brown. They have a wood grain effect that makes them look more like wood and less like plastic.
The frames are constructed in the same way as the softwood range to carry the plastic boarding. The frames and boards can be jet washed down to create a 'good as new' look time and time again. There will be no cracking or shrinking as with wooden alternatives. .

Resin Woven BAMBOO Tongue and Groove - Superior Range - NEW
This is an new addition to the StablesOnline boarding range and is a revelation. Not only does our bamboo boarding look fantastic, but it is much stronger than any other wood product available and also requires minimal on-going maintenance.
Bamboo boards are harder, denser and more fire resistant, far less sensitive to humidity as well as to drying, more colourfast, retain their shape better than tropical hardwood boards and are far superior to any European hardwood boards on the market.
The boards are 32mm thick and 130mm wide. This product had now been dramatically reduced in price as we are buying large quantities directly from the manufacturer. It is now incredible value and well worth investing in.

.
Hardwood Tongue and Groove - Superior Range.
This has now been discontinued as the bamboo is far better and better priced.
The hardwood option is expensive, but gives a heavier duty and better looking result.
The boards are 32mm thick and 125mm wide. We use an English oak or African hardwood that comes untreated as standard. Customers can oil or wax as required.
The frames are constructed in the same way as the softwood range to carry the hardwood boarding.
The hardwood is the most susceptible to shrinkage and cracking and so will require more frequent maintenance.
